Emiliano Messiez
Emiliano Messiez is an Argentinean pianist, music director and composer based in New York City. With a very versatile and personal sound, he is the pianist of the show Forever Tango and he directs his own tango orchestra Típica Messiez. He is educated in classical music, jazz, tango, rock and latin american rhythms and has performed all around the world in different venues such as The Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and The Houston Opera Theater in Texas among others and where he performed with prestigious musicians like Paquito de Rivera, Dino Saluzzi, Diego El Cigala, Concha Buika, Raúl Jaurena and Horacio Romo. As a composer, Emiliano is the composer of Bordello, a musical that has received awards from The National Alliance of Musical Theater in New York and The Broadway Bound Festival. Bordello has also been pre-selected by the Eugene O’Neill Theater Festival. Emiliano also composed The Guava Tree, a musical commissioned by the Creede Repertory Theater that starts its national tour this 2021.
Leandro Ragusa
Argentinian bandonenonist, composer and arranger.
Leandro Ragusa studied bandoneon with some of the most important maestros from Buenos Aires such as Néstor Marconi, Carlos Lazzari and Juan Carlos Caviello.
He studied arrangements and composition with the Maestros. Gabriel Senanes, Manolo Juarez and Diego Taranto.
With a scholarship from the Konex Foundation, he received the Diploma in Advanced Studies of Tango in 2004.
Since 2012, he teaches the course “History of Tango” at the CETBA (Center for the study of Tango - Buenos Aires Government)
He is cofounder of Centro’feca (Forum of Argentine Cultural Studies)

Ragusa was part of the famous argentinian orchestra “Orquesta Juan Darienzo”, the Rodolfo Mederos Orquesta Típica and the Orquesta Escuela de Tango conducted by Maestro Emilio Balcarce.
He is currently part of the Tipica Messiez Orchestra with whom he recently performed at the Lincoln Center of New York and the IX Philadelphia Tango Festival.
He has performed at various festivals and musical events around the world in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Japan, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Canada, USA and Mexico.
He is cofounder of Quinteto de Academia (woodwind quintet with bandoneon – Buenos Aires) as well as Les Néons Quartet (Montreal) and the Colectivo Tangente (New York).
In 2019 he has obtained a grant for the musical composition of the National Fund for the Arts of Argentina.
As a soloist, he is a resident musician at the Café de Los Angelitos (Buenos Aires), he participated in different concerts for the Orquesta Juvenil de Radio Nacional (Buenos Aires – Argentina) (2010), l’Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil (Montreal – Canada) (2018), Orquesta Sinfónica de La Municipalidad de San Martín (Buenos Aires – Argentina) (2018), Les flûtistes de Montréal (Montréal – Canada) (2018) and Coro Polifónico de la Universidad de Morón (Buenos Aires - Argentina).
During October 2020, he will participate as soloist and arranger of the Coreatre Barcelona International Festival for choirs and orchestras.
Devree Lewis
Devree Lewis, cellist, is a prolific performer, arranger, and concert producer based in Washington, D.C. Founding member of Trifilio Tango Trio, she is also principal cellist of Amadeus Orchestra and performs in cello duo with Susanna Mendlow, in addition to freelancing cross-genre and classical music across the U.S. East Coast. Internationally, Devree has toured with Trifilio Tango Trio, Pan American Symphony, and UNSCA String Quartet to various venues in Argentina, Cuba, Peru, Lebanon, and Austria.
As freelancer, Devree performs in cello sections for Richmond Symphony, Annapolis Symphony, Lancaster Symphony, New Orchestra of Washington, Gourmet Symphony, and Post-Classical Ensemble. Devree played side-by-side with Cleveland Orchestra at Kent/Blossom Music Festival, and performed at the premiere season of the Hollywood in Vienna Festival with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in Vienna, Austria. In 2015, Pennsylvania Philharmonic featured Devree as principal cellist and soloist, accompanying David Kim, concertmaster for Philadelphia Orchestra, in Vivaldi’s and Piazzolla’s Four Seasons.
